Danai Daska was born and raised in Athens in 1980. She studied Philosophy, Pedagogy, and Psychology at the University of Athens, while simultaneously working in the press, book and advertising industry. In 2004, she continued her studies with an MSc in Literature and Creative Writing at the University of Edinburgh. Her poems and stories have been published in collections and literary magazines in Greece and Scotland. For over 15 years, she has worked as a Creative Director in the field of advertising and communication, while also continuing to write poetry, stories, and children’s books, and teaching creative writing seminars. She is the mother of Philippos and believes that creativity is our natural superpower that helps us overcome every obstacle, and that imagination is the best way to see and understand reality.
